Gun control: puts the focus on the wrong thing. First, the gun problem is not a major problem when compared with other causes of death: over 100,000 people die every year because people didn’t wash their hands in hospitals. Only around 12,000 die from guns per year. Second, taking away the guns may improve the gun murder rate, but it will worsen other things, like freedom, liberty, self-defense, security, protection against tyrannical government, and even the violent crime rate. Third, the solution is to care for people and heal their hearts, because even if guns were not available, violent crime can be accomplished in other ways, whether with a knife or just hands and feet. More people are murdered by hands and feet than guns. We may want to address psychological problems as well.
